Henar Iglesias

Henar Iglesias comes from a family deeply immersed in graphic and handmade arts. Her creative journey began at age eight, when she discovered feather art, a medium that has remained her lifelong passion. Combining her background in mathematics with her artistic skills, she merges advanced technical knowledge with ancestral feather art techniques.

One of the most intricate methods she uses is a mosaic technique, where bird feathers blend seamlessly to create images, disappearing as individual elements to form a unified whole. Guided by her mathematical understanding of vector fields, she navigates the complexities of each design. Her work draws inspiration from Mesoamerican feather art, exploring the mastery of precision and symbolism. She seeks to revive forgotten feather art techniques from diverse cultures, presenting them with a contemporary approach that connects modern audiences with cultural narratives and the relationship between nature and craftsmanship.
