Kinga Földi

Kinga Földi is a Budapest-based textile sculptor from Hungary. She began her artistic journey by collecting and assembling found fabric pieces, which led her to pursue formal studies at the Moholy Nagy University of Art and Design. During this period, she explored techniques such as bobbin lacemaking and origami, with the pin-tuck method becoming central to her practice.

She works primarily with silk, drawn to its texture and depth, using the pin-tuck technique to create rhythmic surfaces reminiscent of scales or feathers. After working in fashion and wearable sculpture, she turned to sculpture as her main focus, allowing her to explore the relationship between nature and form. Her work has been exhibited in Hungary and Italy and has received international attention.
