Lucile Viaud &
Aurélia Leblanc

Aurélia Leblanc and Lucile Viaud conceived the meeting of their respective materials during their time at Les Ateliers de Paris (2016–2018). Aurélia Leblanc weaves exceptional yarns for haute couture, while Lucile Viaud develops and produces her own recipes for natural glass using locally valorised resources (geoverring). Together, they created a unique material—glass weaving—by gradating the colour variations of available glass according to the seasons and bringing their two visions and areas of expertise into dialogue.

Driven by questions of movement, weave, and the interaction between glass and bio-sourced yarns, they have developed an infinite range of architectural art materials. Winners of the Grands Prix de la Ville de Paris in 2017 and 2018, they later received the Bettencourt Schueller Prize for the Intelligence of the Hand – Dialogues category in 2023. Since 2018, their collaboration has explored a shared universe between opacity and transparency, reflection and structure, combining glass and textile through a common commitment to bio-sourced materials.
